Anne Gilson LaLonde is the author of Gilson on Trademarks, published by LexisNexis.

 

Anne has been working on the ten-volume treatise in various capacities since 1999, and took over authorship from her father, Jerome Gilson, on January 1, 2006. 


​Anne served on the Trademark Public Advisory Committee of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office from 2018 to 2020 and was the Chair of the U.S. Subcommittee of INTA’s Legislation and Regulation Committee from 2020 to 2021. She served as Vice Chair of INTA's Geographical Indications Committee from 2022 to 2023. In 2020, Anne received the INTA Service Award for the Advancement of Association Objectives.

 

After graduating cum laude from Princeton University with a degree in Philosophy, Anne graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan School of Law, where she served as Book Review Editor for the Michigan Law Review.  She practiced at Sidley & Austin in Washington, D.C. in the firm's Litigation Practice Group before her judicial clerkship with Chief Judge Norma Holloway Johnson of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

 

Anne has participated in National Novel Writing Month for years (2023 marks her sixteenth "novel"!). She's put a few onto Amazon, just for fun. Her Dungeons & Dragons character is a stout halfling rogue named Bing Tenderdove and she's also trying her hand at being a Dungeon Master. She lives in Vermont with her family.
